One of Hometown T1D's focuses during the year is sending T1D children to summer camp, an environment where they can grow in their Diabetes skills alongside other kids just like them. Some of our past campers say that this was some of their favorite memories and have met lifetime friends through the connections made at Camp Stix & Camp Twigs.
Camp STIX is an independent, community-based, summer camp located in Northeastern Washington for children and teens with diabetes throughout the Northwest. The camp is held at Bear Paw Camp on the Pend Oreille River just 64 miles north of Spokane. Camp STIX offers a one-week residential program for youth ages 9-16.
Camp TWIGS is an independent, community-based, day camp in Spokane, WA. The camp offers quality education and support to children between the ages of 6-8 years old who have been diagnosed with diabetes, as well as support for their parents and family. We truly have a "camp" feel for our youngest campers.
Please apply for our camp tuition assistance program by the deadline to be considered!
