We offer educational resources and opportunities for caregivers and families for those who have Type on Diabetes.
Newly Diagnosed Resources
Although upon new diagnosis, you will often times receive education from your doctor, interpreting it in real time and knowing what to do is a different battle that our Type One's experience. We are here if you need recommendations, need to talk through a scenario or just need someone who gets it.
Diabetes Boot Camp
This is our annual (and as needed) opportunity for anyone in the community to attend a classroom presentation from our very own Susan Rauch, RN, BSN, as she teaches from her 20+ years in diabetes education. This curriculum covers everything from early signs and symptoms, navigating high and low blood sugar, and how to support Type One Diabetics, specifically in school and work environments.
We offer a once a year Boot Camp in the school district, and as needed for organizations who need training.
